Please keep my wife and family in your prayers. She is a recovered addict/alcoholic of 5 yrs who decided to "pick-up" again. Today she is going to detox to get off the pills and back on the path to recovery. This is a trying time and forgiveness is hard to come by. I am also in recovery, 7 years, and am conflicted about the whole situation. My recovery network will help me stay close to God, and I know how well you guys pray too (ya'lls prayers helped me when my son died).

Thanks to you all.

Bassman, I will put your name on our prayer board at work and request prayer at church tomorrow.

This is for everyone that reads this board.....Heres a lil suggestion that someone gave me the first of this year and it has been marvelous so I will pass it on....

A local businessman told me in January that he decided to have a devotion, prayer time first thing every morning before everyone got bogged down in the daily routine. He told me that it had made an amazing difference in the morale and attitudes of everyone since. Says that all the problems are still there, but the way they approach them now, has been amazing.

We went back and put our version together and attendance is optional. We had a few that didnt want to attend and that was fine but now, all of the staff attends, and participates. Someone different everyday now reading a passage that they want to share, we have prayer requests and a few praise reports for any good news or answered prayer, and then a short prayer. I have gone into those meetings ready to bite a nail in two, the devotion given, and my whole outlook for the day changed. The whole thing doesnt last but 10-15 mins max, but it makes an all day difference. Cant believe that we went all these years without doing it.

Glad to hear that.

My wife Kayla is having neck surgery on Thursday at Mayo, so if you could keep her in your prayers, we would really appreciate it.

I had no idea I was such a pain in the neck!
