Folks, I will be out of pocket for the next couple of days. Please remember my mama in your prayers. She just saw a cardiologist about her heart arythmyia and he is admitting her to the hospital immediately. He told her she was a prime candidate for a stroke and he is beginning tests and blood thinner immediately. Her at-rest heart rate was 160 beats per minute and he told her it was a miracle that she hadnt already had a stroke. I will be away to see about her, so please hold the fort and lift her up in your prayers. She is very upset and scared. Thanks, kevin

Thanks to everyone for the thoughts and prayers. They are trying to get mama's heart to slow down and get in regular rhythm with medications tonite and take another echocardiogram in the am.. If the meds dont get it to slow down, they will put her to sleep, stop her heart and re-start it. Hopefully it wont come to that but pray the doctors will find the cause and get it straightened out. Will check in from my Blackberry as I can. Thanks for all the support.

Thanks everyone for your calls, thoughts, and prayers. Mama is better and her heart rate is much better. They are going to try medication for the next 4 weeks and see if it will be effective. If not, they will do a heart cath next. She will be in the hospital for the next couple of days until they get the Coumadin levels regulated and then hopefully get to go home.

GREAT NEWS ! Mama is coming home and has been discharged! She's not that excited about the stack of instructions, shots, and prescriptions, but she is excited to be on the way home and out of the hospital. Please continue to pray that the meds will do the trick and she will be able to avoid surgery. I appreciate your prayers and support !

Kevin-- sounds like your mom might need a pacemaker?? Hope they take care of it with the meds.

Dick, thats what we've been thinking, that she was going to need a pacemaker. Hopefully the meds will work or maybe the great physician will take care of it. He is still in the healing business.
