8:00 to 3:30, set-up starts at 6:30. You gonna make it over John? Rob says they have a lot of tables booked this year, changing the location and the date messed it up last year.

Honestly, this is one of the worst buildings for photography I've ever been in, the lighting is terrible.

Thanks for taking the time to post the photos Gerry. Super points in those photos, some I recognize and I think even assisted in their recovery.

it really sucks that i had to miss this show. there are some very good tallahatta points from over that way that i have heard about but havent had the pleasure to see. andy's collection, in the third square case from the right there is a red colored pickwick/abbey that is one of the finest pieces of tallahatta that you will ever see.................benji

The Clovis point in Gerry's next to last picture is "SUPER". It is very translucent and is made of Tallahatta Agate and very thin. It is almost uniface with one side mostly the original whittish material of the outer layer of T. Agate.

It belongs to a friend of mine and I have had the chance to "fondle" it. A fairly recent find.

Yes and it came from very near where I live. Clovis points are pretty rare in this area. I held it also, very well made point, of extremely nice material.

The very first photo is of part of the display of two guys we know who haven't been hunting a very long time, but they stumbled up on a creek that was just loaded with points, and had a couple of 50-point days there. The point towards the right in the frame by itself is about as nice a stemmed TQ point as it gets.

I wondered if it was just me. I had to pull a flashlight out a couple of times to examine something.

I think this Dalton from Clarke Co. AL is made of the same material with the same kind of patination (on the 'white side' of the Clovis) -?

Neat little San Patrice/Dalton/Leaf River/Whatever there also.

Local hunter, the point was found a little west of town.

Thanks paleobrute. The win was for the 3.25 inch Dalton. The 6 inch point did not win anything.

The 6 inch point did not win anything.

Well of course not, it was a dog.
