Hello Richard , I hope you are doing well and want to ask you and Kevin to pray for my dad. He has been fighting cancer for 5 years and lost his left eye in 2005. We went to Houston Wed to have surgery and the doctor said it was too far advanced. So they sent us home and we are to meet with the Onocologist on Wed to discuss the radiation and such. He lives with me and this has been a long battle and trying to take care of him also as well as my trying to deal with my diseases has been a real challenge. Also pray for my upcoming Doctors appointments on June 7 as I meet with my VA PCP and VA Podiatrist. I have to get to a Rheumatologist and a Hemotologist as my immune system is shot and my bloodwork has been showing signs of possible Leukemia according to my VA Podiatrist who is very sharp and has been right on everything he has said in the past. I have to get to these specialist. The VA will not get me to them and keep "discontinuing" the appointments. This is really a challenging time and I know Gods got it under his control , but it still tough. I am not going to be able to be at the Temple show because of all that’s going on and really was looking forward to it and visiting with you and Kevin, but its just not possible this year. Tell Kevin hello and call me if you have time. God Bless Bill

Bill is a Vietnam War vet and one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet. A devout Christian and a passionate artifact collector. He lives in Texas and is a fishing charter boat captain. Please add him and his dad to your prayer list.

Bill Sheka Jr. had a massive heart attack last week. He survived and is slowly recovering. He said he knew God was with him in the emergency room as the Doctors and Nurses were working on him. He said they sang gospel songs and talked God's word while in the emergency room. His Doctor said he is one of the few people he has ever seen that has survived such a massive heart attack, especially since it was 12 hours after the attack before he reached the hospital. The damage is severe and he requires another surgury to repair one more blockage. He asks that we continue to pray for him and his father. I will continue to pray and so will my Sunday School class. Please take the time for a prayer for Bill Jr. and Sr. If you would like to call Bill his # is 361-991-7191. Thanks.

I am enclosing a copy of the obituary for my dad , who passed away yesterday July 6 at 5:00 a. m . with me by his side holding his hand. He was a great dad and we were very close and will cherish his friendship and his fatherhood to me. Thank you all for your prayers and kindness. His memory and legacy will continue and he now has no more cancer or diseased body. He is having quite a time with Jesus and all of the Saints and Patriarchs and friends . A great American hero is gone home to the Lord. God Bless, Bill
Capt. William A. Sheka, USMC, RETIRED, went home to be with the Lord on July 5, 2010 at 88 years old after a couragerous battle with cancer. He was born on June 8, 1922 in Elsworth, Pennsylvania.
