This one was found many decades ago and as was the custom in the 60's and 70's, this collector wrote on the point and may or may not have applied clear nail polish or lacquer to the surface. Personally I would not remove it as the appearance is very nice and does not detract in the least in my opinion. As long as it remains in my collection, I will leave it as is. Excellent color and appears it could be made of coral with very nice polyps visible in the material. This one has been in one of my color frames for several years for its vibrant color and unique edge treatment.
