Seems that almost every Hernando I see from Alabama has a common characteristic of the wide center tang, much wider than the ears. This is a nice thin, well made and preserved example. Nice creamy patination and purple heat treating color along the tip. Nice ears, notches, and a solid tip. Intact examples this nice from Alabama, are a rare find indeed. Look at the delicate ears and precise notches and you will appreciate the craftsmanship in this nice projectile.
